Video Channel Migration
I was the technical project manager for the migration of a huge video channel project. We migrated over 2,000 videos to a new partner with minimal downtime.
This video channel migration was extra-fun as there was hard deadline involved – our existing partner at the time was ending video hosting service. We also had to integrate ad service, partner pixels, membership, moderation and a slew of other considerations. So, was it more than just moving over 2,000 video files to a new hosting service? Oh yes, yes it was.
And it was a VERY successful migration.
